Christmas Cake
At school we have a Christmas Cake competition in our Catering class in year 10 and this is my Christmas Cake I made, baked and decorated. I used a simple Christmas cake recipe and then rolled out my marzipan and navy blue sugar paste and carefully using apricot jam placed them onto the cake. To decorate I used silver ribbon, fondant flowers with silver balls, fondant icing roses and scattered silver balls. At the end to finish it of with I sprayed on some glitter. All handmade by me.

Festive Christmas cupcakes

Rudolf cupcakes have a vanilla sponge with chocolate butter cream icing, pretzels and fondant icing.
Snowflake cupcakes also have a vanilla sponge with blue butter cream icing, a fondant snowflake and crystallised sprinkles. 
Christmas pudding cupcakes have a chocolate sponge with white fondant icing decorated with holly leaves and berries.

Bonfire Night Themed Victoria Sponge
Lemon flavoured sponge with yellow butter cream in between the two layers and around the cake and on top. Broken flakes are topped on top of the cake and some on the sides. Finished up with red water icing drizzled over the top and sliding down the sides.

Bourbons
A delicious light after school or work snack, texture, crunchy biscuit with a smooth chocolatey icing in between to create a type of sandwich. Dusted with 'fairy dust' for the finishing touch.

Peanut Butter Cheesecake
This is my peanut butter cheesecake that I made from a basic cheesecake recipe which I then built up. It has a crunchy peanut biscuit base with the peanut butter mixture layered on top. For decoration I used carnation caramel and grated white chocolate.

Chocolate Truffles
These chocolate truffles have a very rich chocolate taste, however they are lovely as an afternoon snack or evening pudding. The outer covering has been rolled in cocoa powder, they would be lovely to have with some whipped cream to sooth the rich taste.

Raspberry Muffins 


These Raspberry Muffins make you feel as though you are being lifted from the ground into a whole new world as you bite into them, purely because of the soft vanilla flavoured sponge against the surprise raspberry jam nested in the middle of the sponge. The Raspberry Muffins work really well because of the different texture between the white chocolate icing, vanilla sponge and raspberry jam delight. These cupcakes are preferably for people with a sweet tooth because of the jam and the white chocolate icing.

Birthday Celebration Cake (orange and chocolate cake)

 This chocolate delight has two orange flavoured sponges with a layer of marmalade in between and coated on the top and edges in Chocolate icing. Finished off with a decoration of chocolate orange segments and grated chocolate orange curls.
